ELLER does not employ any staff under 16 years of age. For underage workers, we adhere to the protective measures prescribed by the Youth Employment Protection Act (JArbSchG).
Elimination of All Forms of Forced or Compulsory Labor
ELLER does not use prisoners to perform work tasks. Additionally, we do not engage suppliers where work is performed by unpaid or forced laborers or individuals compelled to work against their will.
Elimination of Discrimination in Employment and Occupation and Protection of Personal Rights.
The relationships between customers, business partners, superiors, colleagues, and employees at ELLER are guided by professionalism, mutual respect, and fairness. We take cultural differences into account. ELLER is committed to not discriminating against anyone based on individual characteristics such as age, race, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, ancestry, or marital status. We respect the personal dignity, privacy, and individual rights of each person and do not employ anyone against their will or force them to work.
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or retaliation in the workplace. Behavior (including gestures, language, and physical contact) that is sexual, coercive, threatening, abusive, or exploitative is prohibited. This also applies to job applicants. We ensure fair compensation and guarantee the legally mandated minimum wage. Working hours are regulated individually by contract and comply with German legislation. Additionally, the works council regulates collective conditions regarding working hours and breaks.
A maximum weekly working time of 60 hours has been set and integrated into the shift model. All employees were hired voluntarily and at their own discretion. Termination of employment is possible at any time with mutual consideration of the notice periods. We recognize, where legally permissible, the freedom of association of employees and ensure that members of labor organizations are neither favored nor disadvantaged.
Respect for Freedom of Association and Effective Recognition of the Right to Collective Bargaining
We recognize, where legally permissible, the freedom of association of employees and ensure that members of labor organizations are neither favored nor disadvantaged. Our employees have elected a trust employee team, which represents the interests of the employees to the management. Regular exchanges take place here and are actively promoted by management.
Management
Prohibition of Corruption and Bribery
Our employees are not allowed to offer or grant benefits to third parties directly or indirectly to unduly influence economic decisions, whether through cash payments or other benefits. No employee may use their official position to demand, accept, or otherwise obtain benefits. ELLER does not tolerate any form of corruption or bribery.
Use of Subcontractors
ELLER maintains fair dealings with all business partners. The selection of suppliers and service providers is based on objective and comprehensible criteria and on the basis of competitive bidding. Suppliers working on behalf of ELLER are required to comply with our code of conduct.
Compliance with Laws
We conduct our business in a manner that complies with applicable laws, other binding regulations, and voluntarily assumed commitments. ELLER executives have a special role model function. It is the responsibility of the respective supervisors to provide employees with the necessary instructions and support, for example, to grant access to all internal policies and to explain them if necessary.
Occupational Health and Safety
Employee Training
ELLER is committed to ensuring a high level of safety for employees in the workplace. We promote the health and safety of all employees: through regular training of all employees, through intensive cooperation with the external safety specialist and company doctor, as well as through training for company first aiders and regular emergency drills.
ELLER analyzes potential risks in risk assessments and ensures the best possible preventive measures against accidents and occupational diseases. At ELLER, each employee is jointly responsible for occupational safety and health protection in their area. It is the responsibility of all employees to ensure that care is maintained with increasing routine. Safety regulations must be strictly observed by each employee, and existing protective devices must be used. The supervisor has an important role as a role model.
Protective Equipment
ELLER employees receive necessary personal protective equipment free of charge. The Occupational Safety Committee meetings are held four times a year. Each employee is free to visit the announced consultation hours of the company doctor and safety specialist during working hours or to use emergency facilities.
